How do we differ from other online schools?

Our students can work at home (24/7) or in our computer lab and get help from certified teachers.

Any course you complete with us is acceptable at any secondary or post secondary school in Canada. Graduates from our school receive the same Dogwood Diploma issued by any High School in BC.

Registering for Courses in the Fall Semester

All registrations at our Columbia Square site are by appointment only. NO drop-ins.

Students who want to register for our program should PHONE the office at 604-517-6191 from Monday to Friday and schedule an appointment to meet with a teacher. Appointments will be scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and on Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

If students drop by without an appointment, they may be able to see a teacher. However, if all our times are booked, students will have to make an appointment to come back another day. It is recommended that students phone ahead to book an appointment.

Please note that students must bring the proper ID (see below) to register.

The Columbia Square site is located at 1001 Columbia Street in New Westminster. Click on Map for directions.

Tuition Fees for Grads

Effective May 2nd 2015, students who have completed graduation from a secondary school or high school in BC or in another jurisdiction now have to pay a tuition FEE of $300 per course to register for courses.

Students who have NOT yet graduated in BC or in another jurisdiction, will still be able to take all courses tuition FREE.

Our Adult Literacy Foundation courses (upgrading courses which are below Grade 11 level) are still tuition FREE for ALL students including secondary school graduates. Visit the Ministry of Education website: (http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/education-training/administration/adult-education/tuition-free-foundation-courses) for a list of the free courses.

NOTE: the May 2nd deadline does NOT affect GRADUATED students who are UNDER age 19. Graduates who were born between July 1, 1996 and June 30, 1997 will have until May 6th, 2016 to become active in their online course. If an UNDER age 19, graduated student has not become active, by completing a portion of their online course (usually a specific test or assignment) by the deadline dates listed above, a $300 tuition fee is implemented.

ID Requirements

If you are an adult, over age 19, and want to register, you will be required to show THREE pieces of ID. ONE piece of ID to prove your status in Canada and TWO pieces of ID to prove your BC residency. Please click here to see what proper ID is required. High School students will need to bring their current school ID or BC Driver's licence.

If you don't bring the proper ID, we can NOT register you. Please save yourself a trip and check to see if you have the proper ID.

Registration for NWSS students in room 183

NWSS (New Westminster Secondary School) students who want to register for online courses should visit their NWSS counselor and then room 183 at NWSS. Room 183 hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

If you are a High School student who is not registered with the New Westminster School District, (i.e. not a NWSS student), who wants to register, you should print an Under Age 19 registration form (click here for the two page form). Fill in the form including parent permission and counsellor permission and bring ONE piece of photo ID (Passport or Driver's licence or High School ID or GO Card ID) to our site.

Online courses have continuous intake, so students may be able to start immediately. See the Course Outlines link on the left, for information about our online courses.
