Tuition Fees for Grads
Effective May 2nd, BC Graduates now have to pay a tuition FEE of $300 per course to register for Grade 11 and Grade 12 courses.
Students who have NOT yet graduated in BC, will still be able to take all courses tuition FREE.
Upgrading courses BELOW Grade 11 level are still tuition FREE for all students including BC Graduates.
NOTE: the May 2nd deadline does NOT affect GRADUATED students who are UNDER age 19. This means that Graduates who were born between July 1, 1995 and June 30, 1996 have until June 12th, 2015 to become active in their online course. Graduates who were born between July 1, 1996 and June 30, 1997 will have until June 17th, 2016 to become active in their online course. If an UNDER age 19, BC Graduated student has not become active, by completing a portion of their online course (usually a specific test or assignment) by the deadline dates listed above, a $300 tuition fee is implemented.
Registering for Courses
Students who want to register or re-register for online courses should phone our office at 604-517-6191 and schedule an appointment to meet with a teacher during our lab hours. If students are unable to make an appointment, they can drop in between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM on Mondays to Thursdays, or drop in on Friday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. (NO drop-ins from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM or from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
If students drop by without an appointment, they may be able to see a teacher. But if all our times are booked, students will have to make an appointment to come back another day. It is recommended that students phone ahead to book an appointment.
Please note that students must bring the proper ID (see below) to register.
The Columbia Square Adult Learning Centre is located at 1001 Columbia Street in New Westminster. Click on Map for directions.
